Initial consultation – £65

The initial consultation will last for approximately 90 minutes. During this time, I will ask for details of your medical health, together with any current symptoms or issues you may be struggling with, either physically or emotionally. All information will be treated in the strictest confidence and will only be utilised for ensuring that your treatment is tailored in the most beneficial way for you. The next part of the consultation involves taking your wrist pulses to establish the flow of energy or Qi within your body. Finally, a few very fine needles will be inserted, paying particular attention to your back on this first treatment. This session can be viewed as a detox treatment, clearing away any blocked Qi and cleansing the system as we commence a treatment tailored specifically for you.

Subsequent consultations – £50

Each subsequent appointment will last approximately 60 minutes and will involve a short consultation to review your progress since the previous session before a few, carefully chosen points are selected for treatment. Each patient is an individual and will respond in a unique way to treatment depending on the nature of their complaint, how long they have had it, their lifestyle and overall health and the quality of their Qi. I recommend that all new patients commit to a minimum of 4 weekly treatments initially. Many will be able to reduce the frequency of treatments at that stage but please bear in mind that longer standing complaints can take more time to resolve.

I am a full member of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians and the British Acupuncture Federation. As such, patients may be able to claim against the cost of their treatments through their private health insurance. Please speak to your insurer to assess the level of cover your policy includes.
